How to use the Advanced Drywall Cost Estimator

Setup: At first, the estimator will be initialized with one room. You can add as many rooms as you need by clicking “Add New Room”.

Clear all Adjustments: You can reset all computations by clicking the reset button.

Set Panel Prices: Set the value of each drywall panel in the corresponding blank, these will be prefilled with zero.

Insert boundary measurements: You can adjust the width, legth, and height of the room. Make sure to select the appropriate measurement unit, either feet or meters.

Insert door and window boundaries: If your room has windows, along with their number, enter them along with their dimensions and select the appropriate measurement unit. A floor plan may also have doors with the same requirements.

Select drywall specifications: From the drop down, you can select the size of the drywall panels you'd like to use.

Calculating the price: After all measurements have been inserted, select their cost as mentioned above and click “Calculate Drywall Cost”. The estimator will calculate the total wall area, net wall area (after removing doors and windows), the estimated number of drywall sheets, and the total estimated cost for every room previously selected.

Each room individually tracked will be restriced to the displayed total area and cost. Anything other opened will show exactly what is calculated.
