30x20 to 39x29 Ft House Plans: Wide Frontage Designs with Vastu & 3D
The 30 x 20 Vastu House Plans: 1BHK to 5BHK for Rental, and Duplex
The "Grand Facade" Advantage A plot size like 30x20 ft or 39x29 ft is unique because it is "Wider than it is Deep." Unlike narrow plots that look small from the road, a 30ft or 39ft width gives you a massive canvas for a beautiful front elevation. Your house looks bigger and grander simply because of the width. At Apzok, we specialize in these "Wide & Shallow" layouts, ensuring you get a premium look while strictly adhering to Vastu principles. Plus, you can verify that grand look instantly with our 100% Free 3D Walkthroughs.
Vastu Challenges & Solutions for Wide Plots Designing for a shallow depth (20-29 ft) requires specific Vastu care, as you don't have much room to push negative zones to the back.
-
The Center (Brahmasthan): In a shallow 20ft depth, it's easy to accidentally block the center with a wall. We design "Open Floor Plans" (Living + Dining combined) to keep the center energy free and flowing.
-
Entrance Placement: The good news is that a 30ft wide face gives you multiple auspicious zones (Padas) for the main door. Whether North or East facing, we place the door precisely in the Jayanta or Mukhya padas for prosperity.
-
Kitchen Location: For wide plots, we push the kitchen to the extreme South-East corner to balance the fire element, ensuring it doesn't clash with the master bedroom in the South-West.
Horizontal Zoning: How We Fit More In Since we can't build "deep," we build "wide."
-
Side-by-Side Bedrooms: Instead of a long corridor, we place the Master Bedroom and Kids Bedroom on opposite ends of the house (Left and Right). The Living Room acts as the central bridge. This eliminates wasted corridor space, giving you bigger rooms even in 600 sq. ft.
-
Parallel Parking: In a 30x25 plot, parking a car perpendicular to the road eats up too much depth. We often design "Parallel Parking" slots or wide porticos that utilize the frontage effectively.
Visualize the Width with Free 3D It’s hard to imagine how a wide, short house will look. Will the roof look flat? Will the windows look too spaced out? Use our Free 3D Walkthrough to stand on the virtual road and look at your house. Check the window placements, the gate design, and the overall curb appeal before you spend a rupee on bricks.

Frequently Asked Questions about 30x20 Plans
It's all about the orientation. A 20x30 is deep and narrow, often needing a long corridor. A 30x20 is wide and shallow. The 30x20 plan usually feels more spacious because the living room is wider, and it allows for a more impressive "Big House" look from the street.
It can be tricky, but we have solved it. The main rule we follow for these sizes is "Corner Separation." We strictly place the Kitchen in the SE corner and the Master Bed in the SW corner. Since the plot is wide, these two zones are well-separated, which is excellent for Vastu balance.
In a 20ft depth, parking a car inside the compound is tight (standard cars are ~14ft long). It leaves very little room for the living room behind it. For 30x20, we usually recommend bike parking. However, if you have a 30x25 or 39x29 plot, we can easily design a comfortable car porch.
Yes. In fact, building vertically is the best strategy for wide/shallow plots. We often design the ground floor as a parking + 1 BHK unit, and the first floor as a spacious, full-width 2BHK with a large balcony running across the entire 30ft front.
Extremely. Because your house has a wide face (30-39 ft), the exterior design (elevation) is the most important visual feature. Our free 3D tool lets you see exactly how the front balcony, gate, and window styles come together to create that "Grand Facade."
