The three story (G+2) west facing 28’ x 45’ duplex residential building is designed to accommodate modern standards of living. Vertical space has been designed for efficient movement and maximum comfort. Moreover, the ease of use offered is unparalleled. Relaxation can be enjoyed on balconies incorporated on the upper levels. On the ground level, apart from parking and watching the plants grow in the designated gardening area, the utility spaces and bedrooms offer seamless flow. Integration of air and light is made easy with thoughtfully placed windows that are not only functional, but serve an aesthetic purpose as well.

 

The ground floor has a build-up area of 1170 sq ft, including a parking bay of 12’11” x 12’3” which can comfortably accommodate motorcycle parking and further garden area. The main entrance located in the northwest directionfully

 

as per vastu. A large hall that is meant for living with an area of is 11’9” x 16’4” is also used as a hall for everybody and in the southwest there are stairs moving north. The kitchen in the southeast, which is also a room 11’9” x will have utility 13”5’ x 4’8” where washing and general cleaning will be done.

 

Bedrooms 1 shall include a northwest room of 11’3” x 10’ and the other is northeast master bedroom of 11’3” x 11’2” with attached bathroom 7’5” x 4. Main common bathroom on northwest 7’6” x 4’2 is accessible reached easily by guests and residents. Pooja room in the south 3’3 x 3’10 serves for special activities and it’s quiet

 

setting.

 

We have also incorporated an area for gardening with an elevation of a little over 1035 sqft as well the 11’9” x 12’9” balcony on the first floor. The main entrance facing Northwest also follows the Ground floor plan. Family interactions can be held in the centrally situated hall that measures 11’9” x 16’4”. The cooking area is toward the southeast, with open kitchen design and measured 11’9” x 10’11”. It is purposeful, as is the attached utility space measuring 11’10” x 4’8” meant for cleaning and laundry chores. Bedrooms remain consistent with the ground floor, featuring a northwest room measuring 11’3” x 10’ and a northeast master bedroom of 11’3” x 11’2” with an attached 7’5” x 4’ bathroom. There also remains a common bath at the northwestern end measuring 7’6” x 4’ which is easily accessable, The pooja room continues to be in the position as before, maintaining the sacred region of 3’3” x 3’10”.

 

The first floor has been mirrored by the second one maintaining consistency for future vertical expansion possibilities. Further stretches could be done to add more walls flexing the place intended for growing needs.

 

At 26’ x 45’, this is a west facing house plan that is good for city living. The design provides good cross ventilation and ample sunlight. The utility spaces combined with the balconies and the identical floors ensure additional ease of use without losing beauty. The privacy provided for the bedrooms and the pooja space is commendable making this a functional house design for contemporary households.
