20 by 40 home plan 4bhk duplex design
RG0084
The design devised with a G+3 structure, This east-facing duplex plan optimally utilizes a space 20 by 40 home with 4 bhk duplex design and modern functionality at every level. On the ground floor, a strategically placed parking area measures 18'10" x 14'. My concern is a major vehicle and convenience. An entrance is located at the main door on the northeastern side, whereas the front is facing due east. The arrangement is rather strained so I will hold my head and start thinking. In the northeast corner next to the entrance is a small pooja room which measures 3’ x 3’, thus allowing calm reflection. In the southeast, the design incorporates an open kitchen and dining area that spans the celebre size of 11’ x 8’6”. So, these are for the best cooking and eating out activities the people care for as social dine-ins. In the southwest there is a warm living hall that is of the size 12’6’’ x 11’8” and this makes for an ideal space for family interaction and relaxation together. The duplex stairs in the northwest serves to connect the various levels and allows for smooth elevation transitions.
Starting from the stairs is a family hall that measures 8’8” x 19’10” allowing ample movement for welcoming interactions. To the southwest is the master bedroom which is 11’8” x 15’ with its own bathroom which is 4’ x 8’ promoting privacy and comfort of the adults. A common bathroom is conveniently placed in the center, south of the family room measuring 4’2” x 8’. To the east lies a kids’ bedroom measuring 17’2” x 10’ which also has an attached bathroom of 3’6” x 8’, giving younger family members their own functional space.
On the second floor the design stays within the constraining box of the existing footprint maintaining symmetry but adding dedicated zones. A lounge area measuring 8’8” x 19’10” lays in front of the stairs. The bedroom to the southwest corner has an east facing window and is 11’8” x 19’6”. It also has its own 4’2” x 8’ bathroom that serves as a lavish retreat. Guest room to the east measures 17’2” x 10’ has an attached 3’6” x 8’ bathroom, fulfilling the requirements of hospitality and comfort before visitor’s arrival.
The third floor focuses more on outdoor activities and functionality. Once the stairs are climbed, a head room measuring 6'8" x 5' guarantees ease of access and practical use. All the remaining space is occupied by the large open terrace 11'8" x 39'2" which presents a generous area for relaxation, social activities or gardening; it transforms an already great space into a superb one for fresh air and stunning views.
The architectural elements of the two story house focus on the beauty of design while capturing the spirit of modern multifunctional living. Its superb design achieves ease, seclusion, and robust comfort on every level.
