As per Vastu’s ideology, this floor plan featuring a 4 bedroom duplex measuring 20 x 40 feet south-facing duplex has a G+3 configuration, which means it consists of ground, first, second and third floors and aims to optimize utility and accessibility at each level. A dedicated parking area of 14’ x 18’10” is available on the ground floor. The main door faces east ensuring it is placed Vastu Shastra compliant. Another room to cater to the spiritual desires of residents, a small pooja room with a dimension of 2’6” x 3’ is located at the northeast corner of the house. The stairs to the upper floors and duplex units are located cut off at the northwest side of the structure, while on the southwest the living hall with an area of 17 x 8’2” is located. Also, the rest of the structure is occupied by an open kitchen and dining region of 6’4” by 10’.

On the first floor, a lounge of 10’6” x 9’ is conveniently located in front of the stairs, turning the space into a relaxation area. To the east is a kids’ bedroom of 10’ x 13’2” with an en-suite bathroom measuring 4’2’’ x 6’6”. A balcony, measuring 4’2” x 16’2”, is northeast facing for light as well as ventilation. The master bedroom, located in the south, spans an area of 14’ x 14’ and comes with an attached bathroom of 4’2” x 6’6”. It also comes with a dressing room of 4’2” x 7” which guarantees privacy and convenience during usage.

For the second floor, I included a gym area of 10’6” x 9’ in front of the stairs to make it into a workout area. To the east, an additional bedroom with identical measurements of 10’ x 13’2” is also present with an en-suite bathroom of 4’2” x 6’6” and a balcony facing northeast measuring 4’2” x 16’2”. A guest room, measuring 14’ x 14’, is located in the southern part of the house and contains an en-suite bathroom (4’2” x 6’6”) and dressing room (4’2” x 7”). This allows for hospitable, yet stylish accommodation.

Last but not least, on the northwest section of the floor, there are two 6x6 rooms devoted to a laundry area and a small store room. The most remarkable feature on this floor is the open terrace that measures 18’8 x 31’8, south oriented which not only offers a stunning view but also facilitates leisure, entertainment or even gardening. The integrated design across all floors takes into consideration aesthetics while maintaining a focus on functionality and practicality.
