This residential building faces the northeast and measures 30' by 65'. It is three stories high (G + 3) and was designed with space planning and ease of use in mind. The ground floor contains both daily operational and utility spaces, which takes up the first 1950 sq ft as well as other functional areas like the 2'10 x 2'6' utility section. The open parking space in the front has a width of 28’8”x 24’1” which also allows for the planting of flowers along with secure storage for bicycles. Visitors and residents enter the home from the northeast side which features a staircase leading to the second floor that proceeds toward the west. The living room is located on the second floor and has an area of 11’11” x 19’2’'. The first bedroom to the Northwest has a dimension of 12’ x 16’11’’ and comes fitted with an ensuite 12’ x 4’11’’ bathroom. A secondary sleeping quarter towards the southwest has the measurments of 12 x 9’4”. A southeast facing open cabinet kitchen sits on the second floor and has the dimensions of 11’11 x 10’6’’ along with a washroom set at 15’4’’x 7’5’’. Additionally there is a bathroom coupled nearby with a size of 8'5'’ x 4’.
The first floor can be accessed using the eastern stairway and a (5’ x 6’2”) balcony, which also functions as a secondary entry space. The main entrance is to the living area which is northeast and as the kitchen, (11’9” x 19’3”) which is in the southeast. The kitchen is open plan and has an adjoining wash area of 15’2” x 4’. On the northeastern side, the additional bedroom is facing northeast, the rest of the other two bedrooms are on the western side. A northwest bedroom is (11’4” x 21’1”) and features an attached (7’ x 5’) bathroom along with a balcony that measures (11’6” x 6’10”). The other two bedrooms are at the southwest, the first is (11’6” x 9’1”) and the second (11’6” x 11’9”). The second also has an attached bathroom (7’1” x 3’11”). Northeast side has an additional bedroom which is (11’8” x 14’1”) and has a (7’3” x 4’) bathroom with access to the same entrance balcony. Additionally southwest has a common bathroom (8’1” x 4’).
The second floor upholds the same 1492 sqft footprint. The layout is a copy of that for the first floor, with the same utility dimensions (2’6” x 2’10”) and placements of the rooms. Along with the typical areas found in a house, this floor also has a servant’s quarter that contains a bedroom with a private bathroom and a balcony next to the entrance balcony. There are also en suite bathrooms in all the bedrooms, and the design incorporates ease of movement, fresh air, sunlight, and access to balconies for gardening as well as lounging.
This third floor is designed as a semi open leisure level, with a total usable area of 1517 sqft. When residents come up the stairs from the eastern side, they come directly to a large open terrace that is 23’10” x 45’7” which can be used for gardening, sitting, and outdoor activities. In addition to other facilities, there is a store room 11’6” x 9’1” in the southwest and a southwest bathroom 8’1” x 4” . This level has windows and ventilation ducts which guarantee that the terrace area gets fresh air and light.
