This 25'*60'* duplex house with G+3 floors is thoughtfully crafted to maximize comfort and efficiency while following Vastu Shastra. The house has a north-facing entrance and is equipped with modern amenities that including large living rooms, servant quarters, and balconies and terraces intended for recreational gardening as well as for pastime. The overall design considers the best possible access to natural light and air, space, and living standards, making it a pragmatic yet lavish home.

 

This house has a total built-up area of 1,500 sq. ft, the parking area alone is 24’ x 10’10” and has more than enough space for a vehicle. The front entrance is located northeast of the house which is ideal for positive ‘chi’ energy. The living hall, measuring 12'3" x 11'7” is connected to the dining area as well which is bigger in size at 12'3" x 14'8”, and thus forms an open space. There is also a staircase present in the center of the house on the ground floor, this enables easy travel from east to west. The fully open kitchen is southwest of the home, measuring 8'8" x 14'11", it comes fully furnished with ample storage and counter space as well as a utility room adjoined directly to it (19’5” x 5’2”) for chores such as laundry. There is also a southwest facing bedroom (10'5" x 14'5”) with an ensuite (6'1" x 3'11”) which is perfect for comfort and privacy.

 

At the base floor, the built-up area 1,193.64 sq. ft. The family hall is of ample space (19'7" x 14'8") and configured to capture view of the clear blue sky above the central stairs, allowing sunlight to illuminate it. In the southeast lies Bedroom 1 (8'6" x 18'4") and in southwest is situated Bedroom 2 (10'8" x 9'6”), which contains an en-suite bathroom (6'6" x 3'11”) and a relaxing balcony (10'9” x 3'10”). The northern part of the floor holds Bedroom 3 (19'7" x 15'6”), which is designed with an attached bathroom (5’2” x 9’4”) and a balcony, enhancing the sense of privacy and retreat.

 

The built-up area of the second floor is 1,193.64 sq. ft. and it has a laundry room (11'7" x 14'8") in the eastern part of the home which receives good ventilation and sunlight. The study room (8'4" x 14') is located to the southeast and has good acoustics for work or study. The southwest bedroom 4 (10'11" x 13'11”) comes with an adjoining bathroom (6'7" x 3'11”) and a balcony (19'11" x 4'2”) ideal for sunbathing. The open terrace on this floor (19'7" x 22'4”) located in the north serves recreational purposes like gardening and hosting lawn parties, as well as an area to relax.

 

The area of the third floor remains unchanged at 1,193.64 sq. ft, and it features a large open terrace (19'3" x 56'8”) that is reached by a ladder on the second floor. The open space is ideal for gardening or sunbathing as it is elevated.

 

"Some important aspects of this design for a duplex house are that it is Vastu compliant, thereby maintaining a correct flow of energy through the house. The sociable family halls and family dining areas also serve the purpose of rest and relaxation. Privacy is maintained at its highest level through the placement of bedrooms, each supplemented with bathrooms and balconies. Ample leisure space is provided with several outdoor terraces and balconies which can be used for gardening and other recreational activities. It encourages natural light and air into the house by keeping many windows open, hence fostering a healthy and fresh atmosphere to live in.”
