This flexible and elegant plan for a North facing residential duplex building is designed to G+3 floors and offers a dimension of 25 ft by 60 ft for area consideration. It also features leisure spaces, private bedrooms, and balconies carefully organized to optimize both comfort and space. Practical considerations such as parking space have also been provided. A unique feature of this design is that it observes Vastu which makes the environment friendly and harmonious for the users. This model also integrates quiet study rooms and terraces which balance the otherwise active family zones. The end result is a stunning and pleasant home.
The first floor has an area of 1,500 sq. ft. The parking area mentioned previously, located in front, measures 24’ x 10’8” and serves the purpose of not only car parking space, but also makes room for a garden. The main entrance is located on the northeast end which is a beneficial direction in regard to positive energy flow. The living hall is large measuring 19’7” x 11’7” and is centrally located with a dining hall to the East, measuring 19’7” x 14’8”. The staircase is located on the westren side of the floor which provides adequate southwest access-aligned movement from east to west. A pooja room measuring 5’5” x 3’6” is located in the northwest corner of the floor allowing for quiet aesthetic neutrality ideal for withdrawing into more personal spiritual practices. That compliment the dhyan has the open kitchen placed in southwestern corner measuring 14’4” x 8’10 along with utility area meant to handle daily chores (19’5” x 5’9”). One bedroom , located to the south west, measrefing 10’3” x 13’10” also comes with an another bathroom (6’1” x 3’11”) for privacy and convience.
The area covered on the first floor is 1,193.64 square feet. The living hall here, measuring 19’7” x 14’8”, offers ample space for family activities and relaxation. The southeast side houses Bedroom 1, which measures 8’5” x 18’4’’. Southwest facing Bedroom 2 is 10’7’’ x 9’6’’ and comes with an attached balcony measuring 10’9” x 3’10’’. Along with providing an outdoor escape, the balcony makes the room more charming. The common Bathroom is centrally located sitting at (6’6” x 3’11”) making it easy to access for the family. North side is where Bedroom 3 is located, being a bigger space at 14’ x 15’6’’ having an attached bathroom measuring (5’1” x 6’3”) and a balcony. (19’5” x 12’’) the spacious balcony makes it a comfortable and private retreat.The second floor shares the same area of 1,193.64 sq. ft and contains a family hall of dimensions 19'7'' by 19'2" which has a clear view of the sky because of the stairs. This makes the place look very Open and Airy. There is also a separate laundary space on this floor whose dimensions are 5'1'' by 6'3''. Open Terrace facing North has an area of 14ft x 22’4”, making it ideal for leisure activities such as relaxation and gardening. In addition, there is an also a Study Room with a dimentions of 8’4" x 9’6" located in the Southeast, ideal for quiet working and reading. It also contains Bedroom number 4 located in the South Westside of the floor measuring 10'10" x 13'11" along with attached bathroom size 6'7'' x 3'11'' and a balcony measuring 19’11” x 4’3” which allows the resident to enjoy the outdoor view.
The Third Floor Built up area will remain the same as the second floor which is also 1,193.64 sq. ft (Square Foot). The space is largely reserved for the Terrass which is 19'1” x 56’6”, Open Large Terrace. This placement greatly enhances the space available for various activities like social gatherings, rest, and even gardening allowing for a more outdoor living feel to the entire house. It can be reached by a ladder from the second floor that allows for access to the terrace.
The energy flow of the spaces is managed efficiently, and balance is maintained in the living area which has been organized according to Vastu principles. Sunlight and fresh air enter the building freely through strategically placed windows, allowing positive circulation throughout the home. Hallways, common areas, and other large living areas increase family interaction and provide spaces for relaxation. Outdoor access is available from bedrooms through attached balconies, which offers privacy and connection to nature. The overall design is improved by the rooms set aside for leisure on terraces and balconies. The careful arrangement of study rooms, pooja rooms, and utility rooms makes the house suitable for a modern lifestyle.
