This is a G+1 type house design with a dimension of 25’ x 55’ facing north. It has reasonably good balance of convenience and comfort, utilizing indoor spaces efficiently, and offering generous areas for outdoor recreation. The arrangement provides a good public/private zoning on two floors for circulation, use of various spaces and rooms with adequate natural ventilation and light. The ground floor is dedicated to the core living functions including vehicle storage, while the first floor alleviates congestion, provides additional privacy, and incorporates a large terrace for restful and recreational activities outdoors.

 

This house covers an area of 1,375 sq. ft. The ‘Parking Area’ measuring 24’ x 14’8” enables a family to comfortably park multiple vehicles while the main entrance is positioned strategically on the North side of the house for ease of access. Leaving the house unkempt and getting a family interaction hall for lounging were family priorities. For this reason, the Living Hall measuring 12’7” x 10’9” has been placed in the Northwest Corner. The staircase is located at the Northeaster Corner which helps maintain privacy to the rest of the house. Additionally, the edges of southwest corners also provide some respite as the edges of the Yokai Bedroom measuring 9’ x 12’4” and accompanying bathroom 4'7” x 7'4” is seamlessly integrated into the walls with no sharp edges. The open Vik chef's kitchen 8'7" x 9'8" has been strategically placed in the south east section of the house alongside the utility area (9'7" x 6") that launders and cleans enabling an effortless flow to multi-task better. Without a utility area the house would A common bathroom (4'7" x 4'11") serves as another great addition and is also located beside the other sides of south east providing unimpeded access for guests and residents.

 

The comfort and leisure are at the forefront on the first floor which spans 1,000 sq.ft. A well-placed headroom space of 6-feet is above the stairs. The northwest corner has a private bedroom 12'3'' x 11'3'' that has an attached bathroom measuring 5' x 8'2. The balcony at the front 12'6'' x 4'4'' serves for small outdoor retreat in addition to architectural beauty. The open terrace measuring 19'1'' x 27'6'' is the highlight of the floor, it offers fresh air and is great for hosting or gardening.

 

This plan includes exceptional features like ventilation, lighting due to windows installed on all the walls for air and light to flow freely in every room. The terrace and balcony are some outdoor additions that, along with ideal green spaces, enhance the living environment.
