20 * 50 house plan south facing of the Residential building

RH0004

The south-facing duplex house measuring 20’x50’ is an efficient design that combines comfort and space. This house is tailored for modern lifestyles so that privacy can be maintained while ensuring adequate natural ventilation and sunlight into the house. The layout promotes circulation from designated bedrooms to the spacious living area to soothing outdoors for gardening or relaxation, suitable for families who appreciate an easy lifestyle blended with sophistication.

The ground floor built-up area is about 1000 sq ft which is smartly planned to accommodate daily and special activities spanning over two floors. The parking space of the duplex, 6’10” x 10’7”, is located at the front and serves the dual purpose of being a green area for planting or small garden features. The main entrance faces southeast which is known to be energetically vibrant due to receiving the morning sun. In the house the first element is the living hall 11’1” x 10’6” which is meant to be a gathering room and is a warm place for family interactions. In the south is open kitchen positioned 5’1” x 12’2”, which has a modern style with an island. Adjacent there is a small pūjā room in the northeast measuring 2’8” x 2’10”.

On the ground floor, there are two bedrooms: a small southwest bedroom (7’ × 10’) ideal for children or guests and delightful master bedroom in the north (16’8” × 10’10”) designed for maximal comfort and privacy. To accommodate usability on this level, three bathrooms are provided: an attached northeast bathroom (8’4” × 4’) for utmost convenience, a common northwest bathroom (9’11” × 4’) and an additional bathroom (8’ × 4’6”) suitable for shared use during gatherings.

Area and layout for the first floor are a mirror image of the ground level, resulting in approximately 900 sq ft of available space, while maintaining the design ethos of balanced functionality. The forward facing balcony (6’10” × 10’7”) further improves living standards by providing scenic views and an offer for minimal gardening or seating. Door entry is also situated on the southeast side, keeping the directional orientation of the ground level. On this floor in the living hall, the family space is kept familiar and consistent (11’1” × 10’6”), while the open kitchen (12’2” × 5’1”) built in the same compact style facilitates ease of cooking and serving.

On the first floor, the bed placement mostly stays the same as on the lower level – a southwestern bedroom (7′ × 10′) for restful sleep and a north-facing master bedroom (16′8″ × 10′10″) with a separate bathroom that is northeast of the bedroom (8′4″ × 4′). A second common bathroom (9′11″ × 4′) in the northwest along with an additional restroom (8′ × 4′6″) increases convenience for residents and visitors. The northeast pooja room, measuring 2′8″ × 2′10″, provides a quiet sacred corner for prayer or meditation.

The second floor replicates the layout on the first floor, which adds architectural symmetry throughout the building at all levels. This bumper design also eases ongoing upkeep and reduces build complexity while providing room for future flexibility—like turning the upper floors into rental suites or adding more stories down the line if necessary.

An important element of the house duplex plan is the comfort cross-ventilation and natural light, access through thoughtfully positioned windows and space. Every bedroom alongside each living room relative to the kitchen has been designed with privacy, peace, and comfort in mind. The rangeth floor plans on all levels is multifunctional which allows the house to comfortably flex between a single family residence and rental property. Balconies and a front green zone contribute to the beauty of the house while adding to lifestyle experience since it allows families to enjoy suburban nature right in the middle of town.
