Space efficiency is balanced with comfort and utility in this G+1 residential structure with western orientation and Arabic style architecture built on a 15’x40’ plot. It includes a ground floor with a designated parking area measuring 6’8” by 12’10”, while still allowing ample space for bicycles. Entering through the main door leads directly into the drawing room located on the right side, measuring 11’ 8” x 16’ 6”, as well designed to receive guests and residents that have already been accommodated. Attached is an open kitchen measuring 11’9” x 5’4” conveniently oriented for efficient meal service. It also includes a private living space fondly referred to as the bedroom which is 8’4”x11’ 8” private living dwelled to guarantee comfort. A common bathroom located at 4’6” x 7’7” is just about the right size strategically located for ease of access. Also, a 3’ staircase facilitates movement to the upper level.

 

On the first floor, more attention is given to family friendly areas and enhancing comfort. Leading up the stairs directly into the family hall 13’5” x 11’8” which allows for leisure or light and heavy interactions with in family members . A little below this hall the bed room 11’8” x14’1” is very spacious, private, comfortable sleep/living area out installed with the convenience of an attached 5’2” x 5’4” bathroom guaranteeing ready access to wash-rooms free of tedious searching for isolation chambers other than those designed as such.

 

In this case, an open space is included to allow sufficient natural light, proper air circulation, and ventilation which adds to the comfort of the home.

 

The 15’x40’ residential floor plan has a proportional distribution of room sizes that renders the layout practical and maximizes the use of space. The remaining include adequate living areas, a family hall, and other properly sized open and semi open areas making it suitable for comfortable urban habitation
