The Power of Width: Double Parking & Verandahs The biggest struggle with standard plots is fitting two cars. On a 40x30 plot, that problem disappears.

  • Double Car Porch: The 40ft width allows us to design a wide porch where you can park two cars side-by-side, or a Car + Bike setup, without blocking the main door.

Frequently Asked Questions about 40x30 Plans

  • It is the orientation. A 30x40 is deep, while a 40x30 is wide. The 40x30 plot allows for a much grander front view (elevation) and wider balconies. Inside, a 40x30 plan usually has less wasted corridor space because rooms can be arranged side-by-side.

  • Yes, easily! This is the biggest advantage of the 40ft width. We can design a 16ft wide Portico on one side of the layout. This fits two cars side-by-side, or an SUV and a row of bikes, while still leaving 24 feet for a grand living room entrance.

  • Excellent. Wide plots allow for perfect "Elemental Separation." The Fire element (Kitchen in SE) and Earth element (Master Bed in SW) are kept far apart on opposite ends of the 40ft width, which is considered highly stable and auspicious for the family.

  • Yes. The 40ft frontage is a goldmine for commercial use. You can build two to three shops facing the road on the ground floor and build your residence on the first floor. This generates 3x the rental income compared to a narrow plot.

  • Not at all. 30 feet is plenty of depth for a room layout. We typically design a 12ft Living Room + 12ft Bedroom + Walls. This fits perfectly. The rooms are just as large as any other 1200 sq. ft. house; they are just arranged differently.
