A designer smartly maximizes the use of space on this 20’ x 30’ north-facing house which is a G+3 duplex to provide elegant living areas, utility spaces, leisure spaces like balconies, and terraces for two families. Floors have been designed to offer comfort, optimum natural light, proper ventilation, and unobstructed views.The entire design is for maintaining proper ventilation along with aesthetics.


With the total built up area of 600 square feet, the ground floor features a parking area of area 19' x 10'10” for car standing and gardening, plus ample room for landscaping. Stairs on the west side facing south lead to the next floors. South Bedroom 11’3” x 10’8”. Alongside is an en-suite bathroom 4’ x 7’6”. This layout manages to combine functional living and position utility spaces while ensuring private living enables effective separation of living spaces.


The first floor’s area is 510 square feet, and it is concerned with different types of residential units. When one walks up the western staircase, a landing 5’11” x 6’ provides access to the rooms. The kitchen in the southwest corner is 11’3” x 10’8”, and it has a pantry that is 4’ x 5’ for groceries and small appliances. The common bathroom that is located in the southwest corner also measures 4’ x 5’2”. North of it is the living hall that is 15’9” x 11’ in size. This is where the stairs leading up to the second floor are located. Also, a pooja room measuring 2’ x 2’6” is found in the northeast corner of the building. Its placement within the design adds a devotional focus. The residential areas are complemented with adequate walkways and zones for sitting, and the integration makes the flow of the floor plan effective.


Like the first floor, the second one has the same dimension of 510 square feet. This space now accommodates private bedrooms and additional areas for relaxation. The walking space on the left side of the staircase is 5’11” x 6’. It is a transition space. The southwest bedroom measures 11’3” x 10’8” with an ensuite bathroom measuring 4’ x 7’. The northeast bedroom measures 11’3” x 11’ and has a balcony measuring 4’5” x 3’11” as well as a bathroom measuring 4’ x 7’. These areas are designed to be private, while still elegant and well-lit, and offer ventilation.


The third floor accommodates all social activities and multipurpose spaces. These are an open terrace measuring 15’9” x 7’8” and 11’3" x 10'8", which can be used for gardening, sitting, or hosting events. These spaces are useful for guests. There is also a laundry area measuring 4’ x 7’ located next to the terrace.


This house plan is well-structured in terms of practicality, comfort, and flow which is great for modern family living
