This thoughtfully crafted modern home is set on a 20 * 30 duplex house plan west facing plot. The entire building stretches across four floors and consists of a stylish duplex.

 

Ground Floor:

The gluond floo features a nicely positioned parking area that measures 18'8"x15'. At the bottom of the staircase, which is on the north western side of the building, ther is space for vehicles. From the parking zone, the staircase goes up to the higher floors, thus keeping the flow of motion uninterrupted. The car entrance door which is placed at the Northeast side of the building facing towards the North direction enters into the living space. In this particular case, we place the door to the house next to this entry, which is this southeast corner parallel to it. This specific door is much abundant in space as it measures 11’6” x 13’2” thus making it place usable as either a guest room or a study. Further to afford this level, a common restroom of 6’8” x4’ is judiciously placed to serve the purpose of the level.

 

First Floor:

The first floor has a welcoming space with an inviting passage entrance fostering spatial connectivity. Its dimension is 4’8” x 5’1”, which opens up right in front of the stairs. The main door located on this floor is once again in the northeast corner and opens towards the north. Next to the entrance, there is a pooja room of 3’ x 3’ which adds to the calmness of the design. Southeastern part of this floor is occupied by an open kitchen and dining area of size 15’2” x 7’6”. This enables the family to share meals and family time together. Furthermore, the kitchen is served by a utility room of size 6’2” x 3’6”. This is also accompanied by a toilet (3’6” x 4’6”) and an OTS (open to sky area) 3’6” x 3’6” for enhanced ventilation.

 

Second Floor:

The second floor adds a lounge area of 10’5” x 6’2” located right in front of the stairs, which fosters a communal space on this level. The east side is occupied with a kids’ bedroom 14’8” x 10’ with an OTS (3’6” x 3’6”) bathroom (3’6” x 7’6”) to improve the circulation of outside air and sunlight to the sleeping quarters. In the southwest corner, there is another bedroom measuring 14’2” x 10’. This room has also an attached bathroom of 4’ x 10’ for convenience and privacy.

 

Third Level:

Like the primary floor, the third floor also has the same layout and design as the second floor. This duplication improves efficiency and meets the spatial needs of the house considering new family members or guests.

 

Terrace Floor:

Uses of the terrace floor include operational activities and resting. It has an access head room measuring 6'2" x 10'5" leading to the rooftop. In addition, there is a laundry room (5' x 10')located in the northeast corner of the terrace which is useful fоr easy household chore. The open area located on the east side of the terrace measures 10' x 13'2" and is accompanied by an OTS (3'6” x 3'6”) located in the southeast direction. There is also a large open air terrace located on the west side measuring 18'8" x 10' which is ideal for relaxation, social gatherings, and gardening.

This G+4 duplex plan effectively utilizes the 20' x 30' west facing plot by incorporating a combination of private rooms, utility rooms, and large terraces into the design.
