Overview: This document accompanies you with using the Construction Cost Calculator tool for estimating the total cost associated with constructing several floors given the measurements, unit costs, and other parameters.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Initialize the Calculator:
Open the app. It will start with a section of a floor by default.
If there is any previously saved data, it will automatically fill those fields.
Add New Floors:
Each additional template will automatically populate with a new floor.
Input for the new floor includes Horizontal Length, Width, and Cost per Unit.
Input Floor Dimensions:
Input the length and width for each floor in the corresponding blanks provided.
Pick the right measurement (feet or meters) from the dropdown.
If you have the total area in square feet, you can input that value directly and it will ignore the length and width inputs.
Input Cost Data:
In the cost block, please provide the cost per unit area of square foot or square meter required.
Select the appropriate unit of measurement from the dropdown for the cost.
Calculate Total Expenditure:
Press the “Calculate” button.
The calculated area and related costs for each of the floors will be estimated by the calculator.
Along with the total area, their estimated price will also be shown.
Cost Details View:
The calculator offers categories such as design fee, materials, labor, etc., while estimating, aiding users appreciate the cost breakdown.
To show uncertainty the borewell category has an asterisk (*) mark.
Share Results
User will have a chance to create a link by clicking the “Share” icon.
Users will have a box with a link that they can share and copy with others.
Anyone opening the link from another browser will be presented to all the input fields filled with the relevant details and all the results automatically calculated.
Reset The Calculator
Users remove all the input data and reset the calculator by clicking the “Reset” button.
This would reset the entire calculator to default settings.
